Happy Thanksgiving!

2 pumpkin pies, 1 lemon meringue and 1 coconut cream pie

From our home to yours, wishing you a blessed Thanksgiving! Our hearts are full of thanksgiving for the Lord's many blessings! It will be a beautiful day of wonderful food, giving of thanks, and sharing together in the blessings of the Lord.

This amazing sunrise greeted us this morning!   It was a beautiful gift from the Lord to see the sun in such a beautiful fashion!

We have had a barrage of rain storms for about a week here, and no glimpse of the sun at all.  It was so beautiful to see the sun peeking through these clouds this morning.

My heart is full of gratitude on this day of Thanksgiving,
and I pray that your heart, home and family
is filled with a beautiful spirit of love and thankfulness
on this day in which we give thanks
for all the many blessings in our lives.

  8. I’m still drooling over that lemon meringue pie. Yum. It was a beautiful if stormy day again but lots of peeks of sunshine in between rain drops. I am very blessed indeed.

  17. Your pies look yummy! I made my first Pumpkin Pie (I know, right?!) and it was delicious. Ok, I used a refrigerator crust because I just cannot seem to make a decent pie crust but the filling was all mine. :-) I usually buy a Mrs Smith's pie but thought I'd go rogue this year ;) Chat soon! Love you!!!

  21. Marilyn, I like all those pies, so I'd have to have just a couple bites of each. My dad would've happily ignored the pumpkin and lemon for his all-time favorite, the coconut meringue. Hope you're having a lovely long weekend.

  23. It looks like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I bet you were so happy to see that sunshine peaking through the clouds. What glorious photos! And your pies.. oh yum. I didn't make any pies. Just hubby and me and he's been sick.. he got what I had last week but not as bad as I had it. I did manage to make some gluten free sugar cookies that I frosted with my homemade butter cream frosting. We both agree we can't stay away from them! When it's just the two of us, I don't feel motivated to do too much, but we had a little ham and some scalloped potatoes. Were supposed to go visit my son and his GF in Astoria, OR but with hubby being sick, we didn't go. I hope you got to see some of your family, friends, kids. It's always more fun with more people around! We never have gotten snow yet and I'm very grateful! Hugs.. Marilyn

  34. Beautiful post friend. We like pumpkin, pecan, coconut meringue, lemon meringue and chocolate. This year, I got a phone call from my brother and another from my cousin at the time I should have been making pecan pies. I decided I'd rather talk to them than make pies. So, we just had a couple pumpkin pies that my daughter made. We had pecan last night after we decorated the tree!
Grasp today for all you can!
    God bless us every one!

  35. Such beautiful pies...and skies!! Love the pies...my mother always made coconut cream in addition to her pumpkin and apple and mincemeat pies. Looks like you do a similar recipe with meringue on top. Love that. So happy you had a blessed and wonderful Thanksgiving. So did we. Still eating pumpkin pie... God is so good...we are blessed. Thank you for your thoughts today.
