I am thrilled to announce that Baby Clara was born on November 18th, exactly one month to the day after Dan's heart attack on October 18th! There were several concerns with the pregnancy that required multiple doctor's visits in the month before her birth, and right up until the end, those concerns continued to be expressed by the doctors. However, all praise to God, she was born healthy and perfectly well at 6 pounds 15 oz (she had been diagnosed with intrauterine growth restriction) and 21" long.
We praise God for His care over us, and thank Him for these answered prayers! Baby Clara is perfectly healthy and beautiful, and Alanna is recovering well. We are overjoyed with the blessing of her presence and the confirmation that, within the space of a month, our family has been blessed beyond measure in situations that could have been so different! We praise the Lord with all our hearts!
Dan started cardiac rehab this week and is doing great with it. They have him exercise for an hour under monitored conditions, and then a class on a healthy lifestyle for an hour. We are excited to move into the next phase of recovery from the heart attack. He is regaining his strength day by day!
Thank you again to everyone who has prayed for us, sent us cards, emails, calls, and generous gifts; all of those things together have been a "Balm in Gilead" for our souls.
In this season of Gratitude and Thanksgiving - I lift prayers for all of you, that you will feel the same love, care, compassion, mercy, healing, and strength in whatever situations you are facing. We are a living testimony to the fact that no matter what "bumps" in the road we face, our Lord walks with us and carries us through the hard places. And you all have come alongside us in prayers and love, and truly, I can't convey enough how grateful my heart is!
May the Lord's rich blessings be with each of you in this Season of Gratitude!
