2 pumpkin pies, 1 lemon meringue and 1 coconut cream pie |
From our home to yours, wishing you a blessed Thanksgiving! Our hearts are full of thanksgiving for the Lord's many blessings! It will be a beautiful day of wonderful food, giving of thanks, and sharing together in the blessings of the Lord.
This amazing sunrise greeted us this morning! It was a beautiful gift from the Lord to see the sun in such a beautiful fashion!
We have had a barrage of rain storms for about a week here, and no glimpse of the sun at all. It was so beautiful to see the sun peeking through these clouds this morning.
My heart is full of gratitude on this day of Thanksgiving,
and I pray that your heart, home and family
is filled with a beautiful spirit of love and thankfulness
on this day in which we give thanks
for all the many blessings in our lives.
Beautiful pies!! Pumpkin is always my favorite but coconut cream pie sounds phenomenal!!
ReplyDeleteWe are enjoying the visit here in Iowa. No snow, temp of 51 degrees and very sunny today.

We all have SO much to thank Him for, as the old song says...He's been SO good to us. He is so worthy of our praise and gratitude. One of the things I am so thankful for today, is you, sweet friend. Your prayers and friendship mean so much to me, and I trust Jesus will richly bless and reward you for your every kindness. :)

ReplyDeleteOh, that lemon meringue pie! Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteYour pies look yummy! I made my first Pumpkin Pie (I know, right?!) and it was delicious. Ok, I used a refrigerator crust because I just cannot seem to make a decent pie crust but the filling was all mine. :-) I usually buy a Mrs Smith's pie but thought I'd go rogue this year ;) Chat soon! Love you!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you all had a marvelous Thanksgiving, Marilyn. We did, too!
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you all!
Such beautiful sunrise pictures. Your pies look delicious! I hope you enjoy the rest of the long holiday weekend.
ReplyDeleteGlorious sunrise, Marilyn. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteMarilyn, I like all those pies, so I'd have to have just a couple bites of each. My dad would've happily ignored the pumpkin and lemon for his all-time favorite, the coconut meringue. Hope you're having a lovely long weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi Marilyn!Happy Thanksgiving!The pies look delicious!Love your wonderful pics!Blessings!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I bet you were so happy to see that sunshine peaking through the clouds. What glorious photos! And your pies.. oh yum. I didn't make any pies. Just hubby and me and he's been sick.. he got what I had last week but not as bad as I had it. I did manage to make some gluten free sugar cookies that I frosted with my homemade butter cream frosting. We both agree we can't stay away from them! When it's just the two of us, I don't feel motivated to do too much, but we had a little ham and some scalloped potatoes. Were supposed to go visit my son and his GF in Astoria, OR but with hubby being sick, we didn't go. I hope you got to see some of your family, friends, kids. It's always more fun with more people around! We never have gotten snow yet and I'm very grateful! Hugs.. Marilyn
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving my friend. We both have brave heart surgeons to be thankful for. I am in awe of the skill surgeons have. My dad is doing well, I do hope yours is too.
ReplyDeleteLove to you,
Carla
Are you still as stuffed as I am?? LOL Your pies looked SO yummy. We could use some of your rain...there is nothing like a storm to create those gorgeous skies...beautiful photos. We do have SO much to be thankful for, don't we? Have a wonderful weekend, Marilyn!

ReplyDeleteYour pies look delicious Marilyn! I made two pecan and two coconut cream. My dil, made one pumpkin. It truly was a day of counting blessings! I have much to be thankful for. We have had record breaking warm temps this past week. It's been wonderful, but we need snow. It's suppose to cool way down tomorrow. Love your gorgeous sunsets! We have had amazing ones here as well.

Hi! I'm visiting from Connie's blog... congratulations on your win :-) Your pictures are just lovely! Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Jill
Beautiful post friend. We like pumpkin, pecan, coconut meringue, lemon meringue and chocolate. This year, I got a phone call from my brother and another from my cousin at the time I should have been making pecan pies. I decided I'd rather talk to them than make pies. So, we just had a couple pumpkin pies that my daughter made. We had pecan last night after we decorated the tree!
ReplyDeleteGrasp today for all you can!
God bless us every one!

Such beautiful pies...and skies!! Love the pies...my mother always made coconut cream in addition to her pumpkin and apple and mincemeat pies. Looks like you do a similar recipe with meringue on top. Love that. So happy you had a blessed and wonderful Thanksgiving. So did we. Still eating pumpkin pie... God is so good...we are blessed. Thank you for your thoughts today.
ReplyDeleteThose pies look perfect! We sure could use some of that rain here. We are a blessed nation; so much to thank God for and you did a good job!
