Today's post is a bit of this, and a bit of that! Our temperatures have been a lot warmer this week, in fact - (insert a sad face here) - our snow is melting! Now you know how much I love to ski - and all these warm temperatures have caused the snow to make "snow fog" so the view outside our window is perpetually gray and foggy. But that's okay, I have the perfect solution for that!
Tulips make everything better - even the loss of the snow that I love so much, and the endurance of many gray days with snow fog! |
Are you experiencing cold and/or subzero temperatures where you live? It seems as though the entire North American hemisphere has been experiencing some wild winter weather of some kind in the last few days. On Thursday we got a few inches of snow followed by icy polar temperatures with the coldest temperature we saw at -23 degrees on Saturday morning....
I love my Thomas Kincaid teapot lamp that I made sitting with the gorgeous afternoon sunset as its backdrop. |
How is your January going so far? I know many of you, including our area here in Idaho have gotten some snow this week - and I'm hoping before the end of the week to be able to get out and go cross-country skiing in our back acreage. We got about a foot of snow overnight, but it is very sticky and wet - not the best kind of snow to ski in. But - this weekend, we are supposed to get sub-zero temps and beautiful sunshine - and this is great skiing weather, so I look forward to it all. In the meantime, I wanted to share with you some beautiful pictures I've taken - AND then something exciting! I am doing a book giveaway today! I will introduce you to the author, and the book, share my review of the book, and then you'll get a chance to win the book. Your heart will be VERY blessed by the message of this book!
