Hello dear friends and readers!
Today I am going to share something a little different here on my blog. Recently I received an email from a lovely lady named Emily, who works with a wonderful company, Photowall. She asked if I would be interested in collaborating with them to receive one of their wall creations, and then review it on my blog.
I went to the website PHOTOWALL to look at the different options available. I was impressed by the wonderful collections that they offer, and decided that this would be a fun opportunity for me.
I enjoyed perusing all the different options available, including wallpaper, prints, posters, and wall murals. After much contemplation, I finally decided I would love to have a picture of our daughter's wedding this past summer, and settled on a wall canvas for that picture. I went ahead and placed my order, and was amazed to see that my order shipped within just a few days, all the way from Sweden!
The package arrived via UPS within just a few days. My sweet dog Riley thought maybe she could help me with the package, and perhaps there might be a dog treat or two involved... {smiles}

Photowall has been an incredibly wonderful company to work with, and I more than highly recommend them. I have bought quite a few canvases over the years to hang on our walls, and I can honestly say that the quality of this canvas is superior to any that I've bought before from other companies.
Dear Friends,
Today I am going to break from my usual photo-filled posts and share with you something that I believe will encourage your hearts.

A photo of our ladies prayer and tea table
I hold weekly tea and prayer meetings in my home, and I also share in the leadership of a ladies' bible study group that has been meeting for over 30 years. Recently the Lord inspired me to write a study on the book of Esther, and I want to share it with you.
Please feel free to share this bible study wherever you would like, I would only ask you link back here for credit.
This lesson was a source of great encouragement to my bible study ladies, and I pray that it is a blessing and encouragement to you as well :)

Our Blazing Red Maple has the most beautifully colored bright red leaves, and this one I captured in the snow that we had in October. The snow has now completely melted.

I saw a recipe on Youtube for a microwave cake. I've never made a cake in the microwave... have you? So, I thought I would give it a try. My oven recently had some issues which my husband was able to fix, but in the days when it wasn't working, I had to use my microwave, a lot. So I found this cake recipe. It was really good, I was surprised :) Here is the link to the recipe... takes only 8 minutes! Microwave Cake

And of course... what is a microwave cake without a cup of tea? A dear friend sent me a box of birthday goodies, including this gorgeous butterfly teacup. Oh how I love it!

Hmmm... someone else thought the microwave cake looked good too... but I wasn't sharing {wink}

Thanks to all of you who prayed and shared wonderful words for my Gram and Aunt Jenny after a fire destroyed their 103-year-old home on September 27. You can read more about that story here.
The Lord has been so good and faithful to them! A modular home was located and will be moved to the home site sometime in the next week or two for them! A basement has been reconstructed as well, and next spring, a new porch will be built for my Gram to enjoy her flowers again. It is amazing how family, friends, and the community have come together to help them. Clothing has been provided until my Gram exclaimed "I'll never be able to wear it all!" and she has been overwhelmed and thankful for the outpouring of love. Thanks to those of you who prayed... your prayers have been felt, and we are so appreciative! I had my aunts read to Gram all your sweet notes that you left on my post, and she was so blessed by them. I am thankful for all of you and your prayers and friendship have meant so very much!

Looking at this picture now still gives me chills and it just doesn't seem possible.
The month of September has been a busy one... an early frost visit, a wild windstorm, a local fire, heavy smoke in our area, a birthday, new construction and a season of harvest in the middle of it all! I couldn't believe when I sat down to write this post that it is already the last day of September! Where has this month gone... I know it has been a very busy one.
I'll let my pictures tell the story...
Harvest season is upon us and summer's long hot days are waning, as cool north breezes begin to blow, hummingbirds have left for warmer climates, and the once lush green shrubbery and trees are beginning to show peeks of yellow and orange. It always amazes us as we see the seasons so quickly transition from one to another. This has been a beautiful summer in every way. We have had no fires locally, and skies have been blue most of the summer. For that, we are grateful beyond measure! My garden is decked out in glorious blooms, and it is a most delightful place to be this time of year!
