OCTOBER DELIVERIES!

Thursday, October 24, 2024

October has been a month of exciting deliveries, within just days of each other! You may have noticed I haven't posted as much recently, and that is because I've had so much going on. Baby Danika arrived on Sunday, October 6, and our new home arrived on Friday, October 11! It was so exciting to see it finally arrive. The home is beautiful in every way, and while there are things that need to be fixed and adjusted including sheetrock, trim, doors, etc., it has all been a delight to look forward to moving into the home!

The new home! Once we get moved in, the home we currently live in will be moved off the property, and a shop will be built under that roof.

The inside of the home, looking from the front door.
I just love the light that we will have!  This is the view of the living room, kitchen, and dining room.
The home is in the process of being put together and it will be about a month or so before we can move in.

Guess who came to see us and tour our new home? Yes! We are so thrilled to be grandparents :)

We also enjoyed a weekend of camping. There is nothing as wonderful as food enjoyed around a campfire! Before we left, I made homemade sourdough biscuits, salsa, and strawberry jam. (All recipes are in my cookbook.)

We camped along this little mountain creek, and let it sing us to sleep every night :)

Fall colors filled my eyes and soul with their glory!

We hiked up to visit the creek's waterfall, what a beautiful sight to see!

The sound of rushing water always thrills my soul!

One morning as I walked, a herd of elk crossed the road before me. It is always exciting to see wildlife at any time of the year :)

The Northern Lights/Aurora have been amazing this year!

Then sings my soul, My God, how great Thou art!!

Sunshine streamed through a beautiful maple one afternoon. Glorious to see!

We visited Coeur d'Alene and I took this picture of the waterfall close to Tubbs Hill. With the Fall colors, it is just a stunning view!

This double rainbow adorned the skies one afternoon after a thunderstorm. What a beautiful sight it was!

God's artistic brush painting the skies each night for us!

As I've watched the amazing sunsets we've had, it reminded me of this video I created some time ago. I hope it will be a blessing to your heart to know that someday, Beyond the Sunset, the world's sorrows will be past, and we will rest and rejoice with the Lord. Troubles here on earth never seem to end, but our hope remains steadfast "Beyond the Sunset".

May your heart be blessed and encouraged today!

  5. God is indeed blessing your family this year. I understand the excitement and love a new grandbaby brings to your heart. I can only imagine the excitement of seeing your new home come up the road. What we can see of it is beautiful. I can just imagine you cooking in your beautiful new kitchen.
How fun camping in the mountains. I enjoy our camping trips here, and the prairie and hills here are beautiful in their own way, but nothing like my beloved northwest. I've been to that same area around Tubbs Hill and it is really gorgeous, especially with the fall colors. Thank you for sharing that with us.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy
