THE UNTOLD STORY - AND A GIVEAWAY

Saturday, October 5, 2024

Hello dear friends! In this beautiful month of October, so many exciting things are happening that it is hard to keep up with them all! I appreciate each of you sharing in our excitement about our grandbaby! As I write this post - our little one is still hanging out in its "4.5-star" hotel. Danielle and her husband shared with us that they think the baby is enjoying its stay with all the needs provided, but they took .5 stars off because things have gotten a little cramped, lol! Danielle is more than ready for the hotel's "guest" to make its grand appearance - but we have yet to see that happen... soon though, very soon I hope to make that announcement!

really giving a shout-out for Fall!

But I do have several exciting announcements to make! First, our home will arrive next Friday, October 11! We just got the news this week, and we are so excited. I hope to share the exciting arrival news with you next weekend, so stay tuned :)

The project coordinator for our home has been kindly sending us picture updates as the home is being built. This is not the final color of the home, as they haven't painted it yet. But very exciting to see the progress being made!

My second announcement is exciting too!

I mentioned in a previous post that I had been working on a new book, and that it would be in print soon! I'm so excited to announce that the book has been published, and is available for purchase now.  "Untold Story" is a collection of short stories by amazing authors (both published and newbies) who came together to write a Biblical historical fiction telling the "untold story" of 10 Bible characters! Each story is unique, and crafted to encourage and bless the reader!

To celebrate in the excitement of this book, I am giving away a copy of the book, here on my blog! You can also visit my FB page and enter there. You can also visit my IG page, where I am giving away a copy there as well - so you have 3 chances to win this book!

I would appreciate it so much if you could share with your family and friends (if any of them are readers) that this book is now available. It will be a blessed addition to your book collection!

Each of the contributing authors in the story worked together as part of a writing community, Christian Writers Sanctuary.  Together with professionals in the industry, we learned the process of self-publishing, editing, formatting, and publishing.  A very talented man, John Collado designed the cover of our book and does amazing work. It was a fantastic project from start to finish, and we are so excited to share this book with you!

All you have to do is leave a comment below, and if you have an anonymous comment, please either privately email me your address (through my blog contact page) or provide some other way that I can contact you. This giveaway will be open until Sunday, October 13, and the winner will be announced at the top of this post and by email.

If you would be so kind as to follow my social media accounts, that would be much appreciated, but not necessary to enter :)

In the aftermath of the horrible hurricane that struck last Friday, my heart continues to be lifted in prayer for these hurting folks.

If any of you or your loved ones have been affected by the hurricane, please reach out to me, as I'd love to encourage them with a care package. We've heard of so many issues with help getting directly to people who need it, and we want to give directly to those in need.

Please know that our hearts are burdened in prayer for those who have suffered so much, and continue to suffer as rescue efforts continue.  We would love to be a part of helping but want to make sure the help is going directly to the people who can use it now.

Well, I think that is enough excitement for one week! I am sharing with you an older video that I made but that I chose today to be an encouragement for your hearts. We know the Master of the Wind! In spite of all the terrible things that happen, our Lord is an ever-present help in the time of trouble!

Psalm 89:1-18
I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever:
with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever:
thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.

I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,
Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.

And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O Lord:
thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.

For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord?
who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord?
God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints,
and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.

O Lord God of hosts, who is a strong Lord like unto thee?
or to thy faithfulness round about thee?

Thou rulest the raging of the sea:
when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.

Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain;
thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.
The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine:
as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.
The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.

Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.
Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.

Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound:
they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance.

In thy name shall they rejoice all the day:
and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.
For thou art the glory of their strength:
and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.
 For the Lord is our defence;
and the Holy One of Israel is our king.

Take heart dear friends! Our God is still on the throne,
despite the tumultuous world we live in.
Find hope and peace in Him.
He is our true King!

I pray the sweet blessings of the Lord will be with you in a special way, that He will provide all your needs, and sustain you as only He can.
