Happy First Day of Spring!

Friday, March 20, 2015

I was hoping that on the FIRST Day of spring that I would have some happy spring flowers to show you, but... sadly... all I've got yet are little green leaves poking out of the ground,
with no happy faces yet...

But!

All is not lost...

I do have some happy faces to show you!

A sweet happy face surrounded with pink... thanks to a trip to the dog groomer!

Another happy face... surrounded with blue...

The dog groomer sent them home with a big treat each, since they were so good for her...

And oh the delight on their faces when they got their special treat!

We were worried how Roger would do getting a bath for the first time (with us anyway)...
and the dog groomer was happy to report
that he was just the perfect little guy the whole time,
and she was amazed at how well he did.

After the treat had been devoured, Annie found the closest soft rug to lie on...

And Roger decided he wanted to share it with her... and they sacked out!

And I could not let the day pass without showing the sweet face of Mr. Simba...
he would have been quite offended had I left him out!

While these may not be the happy faces of spring
with cheery yellow, purple or white faces...

I hope that you enjoyed the pink, blue, and orange happy faces today!

Happy First Day of Spring Y'all!

:)

  1. I LOVE those happy faces. Look how nice they look back from the groomers....and they smell great, too, I bet. We used to have a pupster that would go and hide all day when she came home from the groomers like he was ashamed of herself. lol
Love your Simba. I sure miss having a kitty. xo Diana

  2. Love the photos of your beloved pets. They always make me smile. I think bandanas on dogs are the best! Hugs, Nancy

    1. Roger didn't like his bandanna. I found it literally in pieces in the yard the next day, Annie's too. Little rascal is what he is, lol!

    1. Thank you! The loveliness lasted about a day.. and then we got some major rain a day or so later.... lol! Guess I should have checked the weather before getting them groomed, but our groomer was going out of town for spring break and was going to be gone for a while, and it had to be done, Annie's fur was out of control! It is much better now, so even with the rain, things are better!

  4. Wow! Our cats look almost exactly the same, but our cat is BIG! I'll bet he's at least 16 or 17 lbs!

Thanks for dropping by Harvest Lane Cottage!

    1. I know, these orange cats get pretty big. Simba is only 3 years old, and I don't know for sure how much he weighs now, but at least 12 pounds, I would guess. As much as he eats and sleeps.... it won't be long... lol!
